What to do when God doesn't show up...

Every single one of us has been in this situation or is going through it right now!

"God where are you?"

Who has the right answer to this?

Aren't you eager to know?

Well! What about if God would ask you the same question?

" Where are you my child?"

Try to answer this question first before you ask God where He is.

"Where am I? Am I still in the right place? Am I still right with God? Do I still desire God's presence? Still on fire for God?" And so on...

Look deep into your heart and answer these questions. Take your time!

The truth is that our emotions have influence on how we view God. But you know what.. God doesn't change because of our emotions. Thank God for that!

His love is pure. He loves you unconditionally! He is the unchanging God!

So what to do when God doesn't show up?

First of all..Don't lose heart. Stay faithful!

God didn't forget His promises to you! He really didn't. Because it's not happening right now it doesn't mean it's never going to happen. God is faithful. you'll see..You also stay faithful.

Second

Keep asking! Search for many verses in the bible that tell you this! Ask of me, says God! write your favorite one down and keep " reminding" God every day of His own promise!

Third

Keep waiting till the answer comes! You know what I am going to say, right?
simple but not easy! This part is the hardest part..But you know what?
It's worth the wait!

Isaiah 40:31

Wait and be blessed!

Is there really no open door

or haven't you step through it (yet)?

Sometimes it's rather the open door you don't step in

than that there is no open door!

What's the key to this?

Push the door open and step in!

it's simple but not always easy.

Because before you can push the door wide open, you have to find the open door.
And the reality is that you have to look for these open doors and opportunities in your life. Sometimes even creating them!

Before you make up your mind that there are no open doors in your life, check all of them carefully. Don't be too quick to say, there is not even one open door! It would be a shame if you missed out on great opportunities.

Are you afraid?

Or...have you noticed the open door but you are afraid to step in? Let me help you!

step 1 : Assure yourself of the fact that it was God that gave you the open door. Remember! God has only the best for you in mind.

step 2: Be courageous and step in!

Again..simple but not easy.

It's not easy to enter the unknown. We all prefer to stay in our comfort zone. But what if your comfort zone is holding you back to dive into deep waters with God? Prevent yourself from looking back and saying:
" What if.."

Let me tell you this; being courageous doesn't mean that you are fearless but that you are capable of overcoming your fears. With other words, you choose courage above fear. It's a choice!

You will never regret entering God's open doors.

Let your courage overcome your fears and step in!

Step in!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 | KJV |

By stepping in, you might step into your eternal destiny...

Have a blessed day!

Stepping closer to God

Is not about the steps you take with your feet

It's about the steps you take with your heart

If you go somewhere for God, physically and/or emotionally, take your heart with you. Don't leave it behind!

Why am I saying this?

Because sometimes we think that when we are busy doing things for God it automatically brings us closer to Him. I know there is always a lot of work to do, but the work should not be a replacement for the one you work for. Do you agree?

If you get caught up with all the work that has to be done in God's kingdom, it's possible to slowly withdraw from Himself.

Also when you are making sacrifices for the will of God, let your heart be involved in every bit of it! Because without your heart it's impossible to receive all the blessings God has for you. And believe me! He has a lot for you in mind!

So next time you are "going" somewhere, make sure you have your heart with you.

Read Jer. 29:13 !

Be Blessed!

Welcome back,

Thank you for joining me!

I want to begin with a fresh start! So I'll start with the next thought..

The Olive tree doesn't loose it's leaves

because it's dying

but because it's renewing

Also we have to put off that what's old
and be renewed in the spirit of our mind
                                          Eph. 4:22-23

The "old" has to go to make room for the "new"
This is something we have to do constantly and
consistently.

Check your heart from time to time to see if
you are not carrying too much old things that
make your baggage too heavy. Start today! you
have nothing to loose. Only some old
dusted things. Nothing useful!

Let go of the old things and embrace the
renewed God given spirit of your mind.

Take your time!

I look forward to see you soon and hear
about your experience.

Maranatha dear friend,

Are you like me? If you are..it means it took a while before you convinced yourself to write your first blog. right?

Well here I am. Finally! Joining you with my personal journey.

I call my journey; story of a missionary.

Yes! you are right. I am a missionary's wife.

This journey began 3 years ago when me and my family jumped into deep water and moved to a third world country to pioneer a mission work. Something that was burning in our hearts. But took real courage!

Since then I have experienced God in so many different ways and got inspired in so many different ways, I could never even imagine before.

These inspirations gave me a burning desire in my heart to share my experiences with as many people as possible.

I hope it is as inspiring  for you as it was and is for me.

So.. grab a fresh cup of coffee/tea and join me on this new journey!

I'll share with you my inspired thoughts. Most of them are lessons I have learned through the years of my conversion (15 years). But mostly experienced the last 3 years.

I do challenge you to dig deep with me through these thoughts. Take your time to ponder and meditate upon it . Only then you will discover the diamond that's inside.

Are you ready for the challenge?
